Hello, I’m Shelly.
After nearly 30 years as a hairdresser, along with years spent volunteering with hospice patients and their families, I understand the importance of listening deeply and creating a space where people feel comfortable sharing their stories.
One of the things I love most about this work is that I get the privilege of seeing a whole person emerge.
I help people become visible. Not because they were invisible before, but because most of us are known in pieces.
Our children know us as parents. Our friends know us as friends. Our workmates know us as colleagues, and our neighbours know us as the person next door.
Very few people ever get to see all of who we are.
Over the course of our conversations, I do. Then I carefully bring those pieces together so the people they love can see the whole person too.

A few words from those I’ve worked with
“I have so enjoyed being interviewed by you. You have a real gift for drawing things out of people. You have perfected the art of the interview!”
“Shelly created such a warm, comfortable space for me to share my memories and stories. Her sensitive, natural questions made our conversations flow with ease. I highly recommend her for creating a treasured legacy book.”
If you would like to know more, I would be happy to talk with you.
